| THE 20-34 TEAM The "young" team swam in the 20s age group at the Masters Nationals in Las Vegas in 2008. Starting together just in summer due to various job situations, this team performed a three stack lift as as well a double throw and a platform lift. Swimming to music from the 80s, the routine was fast-paced and quite fitting with current US Synchro standards. It featured several lifts and throws, fast switching hybrids, multiple pattern changes and many sequential actions. This group placed second in the 20s age group. |
| THE "SYNCHRO NUTS" Our intermediate team named themselves the "Synchro Nuts" because they are all nuts about the sport of synchronized swimming. To watch them is to know what swimming for the true joy of it really means ... "hopeless devoted to".... synchro obviously. With a full team of eight, they swam to a medley of songs from the musical "Grease. " at the 2008 nationals in Las Vegas and placed 4th in the 50s Age Group. Way to go, ladies!!! |
| THE 35-49 TEAM This team was a combination of ages, ranging from the youngest at age 28 to the oldest at age 48. Although there were five 40s, the team averaged 39.1 years and swam in the 30 Grandmaster category. Both the 20s team and the 30s team swam to a medley of 1980s music, including "Relax", "Whip It', "Red, Red Wine" and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go." The routine featured lifts and throws, spins and intricate arm work, a float and a spectacular end. This team took 2nd place in the 30s grandmaster category in the 2008 Nationals. |
| THE 50-64 TEAM The 50s team performed this year to a medley from the musical "Ragtime." Swimming with a full team of eight, their routine included a variety of skills and interesting choreography well suited to their music. They had twists and spins, innovative arm movements and nice pattern changes. The team placed 2nd in the 50s Grandmaster category in Las Vegas in 2008. |
